November 10th, I was supposed to be on board heading for Surigao City on that night, but CPA (Cebu Port Authority) received a message not to allow any sailing on that night. There was a thypoon in Cebu island and on Surigao island. So, picking up my things, I went back to my boarding house.
.
The following day, November 11th, I thanked God that the weather went fine. Later that afternoon, I went to the port again, and I was happy that they are allowing us to get on board. Finally.
.
Sailing was smooth. I thanked God again. And I'm very excited to be home again, to see my family.
.
November 12th, was my Nanay's (grandmother) birthday. There were a lot of people around already when I get there. It was a big celebration for my Nanay's birthday. More than a hundred of people went there. There were programs that was prepared by my aunt. Foods prepared by my uncles. It was really a celebration that I don't want to miss. That was why I really have to go home on that occasion.
.
We all wish more years to come for my Nanay. Good health and enjoying the life that has to offer. We love our Nanay very much. She is the person who taught us good values in life. We learn a lot from her. She is a good neighbor to those who are surrounding us.
We are all runners for a reason. We run to survive in living. We run to achieve our dreams. We run to accomplish our life's mission.

Luneta Park of Surigao City
This is the Luneta Park of the peaceful and clean city of Surigao.
Surigao City is in the south part of the Philippines. It is called the gateway of Mindanao, because it is where the journey of Mindanao starts. It has considered the 2nd class city in the province of Surigao del Norte. It has the population of 131,151 and its total land area is 245.34 sq. km.
Surigao City is rich in marine products. It has many historical places and events. The people there are friendly. Living is affordable.
I was born in Surigao City. I have lived all my life there until I age 23, ventured to Cebu City for greener pasture. At least once in every year, I go back there to visit my parents and relatives. It is my home.

Piggy Bank Day
Every one of us were taught by our parents or guardian to save money. Most of us had the experiences of having a piggy bank to put the crash coins in it. I love piggy banks.
November 2nd is considered as a Piggy Bank Day.
Here are some famous quotes about saving money.
“The only thing money gives you is the freedom of not worrying about money.” Johnny Carson
“The greatest wealth is to live content with little.” Plato
“The chief value of money lies in the fact that one lives in a world in which it is overestimated.” Henry Mencken
“Many wealthy people are little more than janitors of their possessions.” Frank Lloyd Wright
“Never confuse the size of your paycheck with the size of your talent.” Marlon Brando
“I think that much of the advice given to young men about saving money is wrong. I never saved a cent until I was forty years old. I invested in myself - in study, in mastering my tools, in preparation. Many a man who is putting a few dollars a week into the bank would do much better to put it into himself.” Henry Ford
"... but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow." Proverbs 13:11b NIV
